From Honour to Death to Glory

This week some 2000 years ago, a man walked into a city and stepped on laid palm branches and leaves brought by city dwellers. Everybody were in awe and were joyous to greet Jesus into Jerusalem. By Friday, they were filled with hatred and disgust, crucifying Jesus on the cross and left him to die. By Sunday, Jesus rose from the dead and appeared to many.

This is Easter time. Nope, nothing about having bunnies hopping around and easter egg hunts. This time is about a man named Jesus of Nazareth a.k.a. Price of Peace a.k.a. Son of God a.k.a. Bright Morning Star, and many glorious names attributed to Him. He is the Son of God - the one who was born as a physical human, walked the earth with us, understands us, and died for us once and for all to pay the price for all our sins.

During this time, may I invite you to strongly make an effort to attend an Easter Presentation organised by many churches around Malaysia. Some of the highlighted ones and their links are found below.

God's Hand In The Uplifting Of Malaysia

Praise be to God for the wind of change in the political climate of Malaysia. Over the months, time and again the foolishness of men brought shame to themselves. We had controversy one after another and several exposes. Non God-fearing men find themselves humiliated by their arrogance and foolishness. The removal of men's arrogance and foolishness in this election brings forth the season of God's blessing onto Malaysia.

1 Corinthians 1:27 (New International Version) -But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.

1 Corinthians 3:19 (New International Version) - For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God's sight. As it is written: "He catches the wise in their craftiness."

Thank you Heavenly Father so much for your mercy and grace for this nation. In Jesus name, Amen.

Perfect Love Drives Out Fear

Election is just 3 days away. Let's us vote wisely and claim this lovely nation back for the rakyat! Do not be fearful what others may do unto us for if we sincerely concern and love each other, we can do all things. Win this nation with love. There's only one fear that is good for us - let's have this nation be God-fearing, not government-fearing!

1 John 4:18
There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas!

My second daughter led me to an important discovery a moment ago and I just have to blog this! You see I gave my first and second daughters similar Christmas gifts, and each toy is actually an educational toy using a handpump to demonstrate the law of physics. Zoe asks me to write her name on her handpump because she wants to differentiate hers with Emily's handpump. Emily upon hearing this asked for the same. Then it occurred to me that if I were to write their names on the handpumps, this will lead to a situation if any of the handpumps is broken, the owner will be disappointed and perhaps cry (my daughters are still small). The other won't give up her's so readily to share with her sister. I told them I won't be writing their names on their handpumps so that no one can claim anything, and they have to learn to share every toy.

In an analogy, God looks at us unidentified by our weaknesses or our strengths, our skin colour, our status, young or old, etc. To Him, we are all the same - to be forgiven of our sins and blessed to be in the Kingdom of God. But first, we have to be reconciled to God through His Son Jesus Christ who He had given us in this very special day. Jesus died for our sins to open the gates into God's Kingdom, and have everlasting eternal life in God. Now that's the greatest and one Christmas gift you and me won't let off!

Are you a Christian and exercising a life with God?

I exercise by going on long road cycling trips, maybe not to the level of professional racers but good enough to keep me fit and strong. Exercising at a certain level releases a chemical inside the body called endophins which gives a feel good factor or a "high". I relate this analogy with a life with and in God.

Some Christians say they submit themselves to God, but do they live a life of godliness through Jesus Christ who strengthens us? They go to church, at community services which are all fine except that if they live a life of ungodliness, they are not fit for Jesus. In Jesus and only through Him, by His grace gave up his earthly life to die at the cross two thousand years ago for the sins of all mankind so that we can be reconciled to God. He calls each one to live a godly life, separate from the earthly desires of the heart. To live a life that is Christ-like, a life that is a beacon of hope to the hopeless, a life that is totally surrendering to God. I call you who are called Christians to live this life, and keep exercising this life that is pleasing to God. The Spirit of God be upon you like endophins, always sustaining your daily exercise with Him. Use His strength to bring you through life obstacles and your making decisions, as you run in this godly race.

1 Corinthians 9:23-25 (NIV)

I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings. Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.

2 Timothy 4:6-8 (NIV)

For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time has come for my departure. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

The truth behind Yoga

The danger in Yoga practice is the manifestation of spirits into the practitioner. The practitioner will feel good, energetic, calm, and all the attributes; but the danger lies within the opening of the practitioner’s mind to the spiritual realm (trance) where spirits enter the person without the person’s knowing or ignorant of the dangers of being bound by spirits. Allowing the yoga practice so matter how harmless the practice might seem to be is allowing the person to be held captive. But Jesus is sent to set the captives free and break the spirits’ chains that bind.

Pray the prayers below to let Jesus break the chains and set you free, and ask Jesus to occupy your life.

"Lord Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. Please forgive my sins and give me the gift of eternal life. I ask you in to my life and heart to be my Lord and Savior. I want to serve you always."

"In the name of Jesus Christ I now rebuke all evil curses, breaking their power, and I loose myself and my children from them; all inherited or ancestral curses, curses from others; all evil words spoken by parents, teachers, old friends, relatives, spouses, all witchcraft or voodoo assignments, and all curses stemming from my culture. I now break the power of all charms, hexes, spells, psychic powers, bewitchments, witchcraft, sorcery, incantations, impartations, idoltary, or assignments that have been put upon me or my family line from any person or group, living or dead, or from any occultic or psychic sources, including any familiar spirit assigned to me by Satan at my birth. I rebuke all connected and related spirits and command these to leave me now, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ".
